It's hard to imagine that this rich and cozy living room was once bleak and dull! We transformed this stagnant room into the fabulous and warm heart of the home.

 

The owner’s had some lovely original artwork and pieces from their former lives in Cameroon, Paris and Serbia which we built off of to create a beautiful, cozy and eclectic ambiance.

 

The room layout was reconfigured to incorporate the client’s enormous leather sectional sofa. Using the same couch, we created a conversation area with ample seating for guests, a tv lounging area with a double ottoman for maximum comfort, facing the new tv gallery wall, and a kid zone with a kid-friendly rug, baskets for toys and a fabulous teepee complete with drawing table and chair.

 

The walls were painted in Benjamin Moore’s Black Beauty, a rich dark chocolate color, paired with a pure white for the opposite walls. The dark walls were covered in off white, XL abstract art. Layers of textures and items were added to create an interesting mix visually and a cozy atmosphere.

 

The result is a multi functional room thats practical and beautiful, mixing the clients’ tastes and decors.
